It's a member of the European Union, and adopted the Euro at the beginning of 2007. Slovenia is excellent value for money, and eating out and leisure activities are all very reasonably priced.

It is superbly located offering quick and easy access to Austria, including Villach, Klagenfurt and Salzburg to the North, Italy including Venice and the Adriatic Coast to the West, Ljubljana and Zagreb to the South and Budapest to the East.
